Point Pleasant Park is a place you'll never forget. It is on the tip of the Halifax peninsula, so there is water surrounding the park. There are several hiking trails, biking trails, preserved ruins of early fortifications, beaches, sports courts, dog-walking areas, and so much more.

Originally known as the Canada Games Oval, the Emera Oval is a permanent skating rink that is the size of three NHL hockey rinks. You can go in-line skating in the summer and figure skating in the winter!

Long Lake Provincial Park is very large in size and is only 15 minutes away from downtown Halifax. Lakeside views, streams, rivers, vegetation, beaver dams, birds and wildlife you wouldn’t expect to see amidst an urban area. There's even several activities such as kayaking and paddle boarding!

The Beechville Lakeside Timberlea Rails to Trails (The BLT Trail) is 13 kilometres long, passing by several large lakes, a small waterfall, and diverse natural areas, including wetlands. This well-maintained trail is level and accessible for cyclists, walkers, and ATV users.
